Our Mission

The Greater Philadelphia Flag Football League (GPFFL) seeks to promote the positive social and athletic enjoyment of American Flag Football.

Through our league, our events and most importantly, our members, we also seek to foster and augment the self-respect of all gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, trans-gendered and questioning (GLBTQ) persons and to promote respect and understanding from the larger community.

While particular emphasis is placed on these specific goals, it is a fundamental principle of GPFFL that all activities, social and athletic, are to be conducted in an inclusive manner and that no individual shall be excluded from participating on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political beliefs, athletic ability, physical challenge, HIV status or gender identity.

JOCKS MOVES TO EVERY 3RD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH

RETURNS FRIDAY, SEPT 17TH!

Come join the GPFFL and all other Philly athletes (and their supporters) every 3rd Friday of the month at Tabu Sports Bar & Lounge! The party begins a 9PM.

$5 cover includes a free Absolut drink or beer, and proceeds go to support the GPFFL!

Registration for the Fall 2010 Season is now open. To register, please follow these steps:

Make a Payment via PayPal or by check.

As indicated on the form and here, the 2010 Fall Season fee for this year is $25 (plus a $5 a week charge for each player to help pay for our referees). GPPFL annual membership dues are $25.

Please note: Any player who played in the 2010 Spring Season will have their Spring Season fee transferred to their annual membership dues. Therefore, returning members will only have to pay the $25 Fall Season fee. New members will need to pay both the Fall Season fee and the annual membership dues.

Online: To make payment online, click here to go to the PayPal and follow these steps:

1. Due to a surcharge levied by PayPal, the 2010 Fall Season fee and GPFFL membership dues online are $26 each.

2. If you do not already have one, sign up for a PayPal account.

3. Click the 'Send Money' tab.

4. Enter the appropriate amount and the Greater Philadelphia Flag Football League email address (registration@phillyflagfootball.com)

5. Please make sure to enter your name in the subject/detail line on the payment section.

"It's Official"

With a larger expected turnout this season, we have decided to hire referees to officiate league play. So what does that mean for you? The GPFFL will use your $25 fall season dues to help offset the cost for the referees, but will require each player to pay $5 a week towards this expense. We understand that economic times are tough for some, therefore we are permitting players to either pay $5 weekly or $40 upfront for the 8 weeks. We hope you agree that this will enhance the playing experience, elevating it to that of other NGFFL member citites.

Where We Play

Games and practice are held at Columbus Square in South Philly, at S 12th St and Wharton Sts. There is a free parking lot across 12th St from the entrance to the fields. The fields are a 3 block walk from the Ellsworth-Federal stop on the Broad St (Orange) Subway Line.
